Learn How to Draw a Cute Frog in 3 Easy Steps
Frogs are some of the cutest and most recognizable amphibians on the planet. Whether you are a beginner artist or an expert illustrator, learning how to draw a frog may be a challenge. But with some simple steps and a few helpful drawing tips, you can create a realistic looking frog that you can be proud of. To learn how to draw a cute frog, you will need a pencil, eraser, and a sheet of paper.
To begin, lightly draw a circle in the center of your paper. This will form the head of your frog. Then draw two ovals at the bottom of the circle, one slightly larger than the other. These ovals will become the frog’s body and legs. At this point, you should also draw a line that connects the head and body and marks the bottom of the frog’s mouth.
Next, draw the frog’s eyes. For a more cartoonish look, draw two large circles above the head, with a small circle in the center of each. For a more realistic look, draw two small oval-shaped eyes near the top of the head. You can also draw small lines near the eyes to add texture. Draw the frog’s nostrils near the bottom of the head, and draw a small curved line for the mouth.
Step 3: Add Details
Now that you have the basic shape of the frog, you can start adding details. Draw two curved lines on the top of the head to form the ridges of the eyes. Then add two small triangles on the side of the head to create the ears. For the body, draw four small circles on either side of the larger oval to form the legs. Draw small curved lines on the top of the legs, and add small triangle-shaped feet.
Draw two small circles on the back of the head and body to form the eyes. Draw two curved lines on the back of the head to form the ridges of the eyes, and draw a small curved line for the mouth. Add small curved lines on the back of the body to form the ridges of the skin. Finally, draw four small triangle-shaped hands on the front of the body.
Step 4: Color the Frog
Once you have the outline of the frog complete, you can start adding some color. For a cute cartoon look, you can use bright colors like green, yellow, and blue. You can also use a darker green or brown color to create a more realistic frog. Use a black or dark green color for the eyes and nostrils, and a lighter color for the feet and hands. Finally, use a light yellow or white color for the belly.
Now you know how to draw a cute frog! With a little bit of practice, you will be able to create your own unique frog illustrations. Once you have mastered the basics, you can experiment with different shapes and colors to create frogs that look like they belong in a fairy tale. So go ahead and have fun with your frog drawings!
