Learn How to Draw Legos with These Easy Steps
Legos have been a popular toy for children for generations, and now they are becoming increasingly popular as an art form. Drawing Legos is a great way to explore the creative possibilities of this medium and to create unique works of art. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced artist, learning how to draw Legos can be a fun and rewarding experience. Here are some simple steps to get you started.
Gather Supplies
Before you start drawing Legos, you will need some basic supplies. You will need a pencil and paper, as well as a few other items. You may want to purchase some Lego blocks in various colors, as well as some markers or other art supplies. You may also want to purchase some reference books or magazines that feature Lego images to help you get started.
Choose Your Subject
Once you have your supplies ready, it’s time to decide what type of Lego drawing you would like to create. Do you want to draw a simple structure, such as a castle or a spaceship? Or do you want to create something more abstract, such as a portrait or a landscape? Choose a subject that interests you and that you think you can draw realistically.
Sketch Your Idea
Once you have chosen your subject, it’s time to start sketching. Begin by drawing a basic outline of your idea. Use your reference materials to get a sense of how the various pieces fit together. When you are happy with your sketch, it’s time to start building it with Legos.
Build Your Lego Creation
Now that you have your sketch, it’s time to start building your Lego creation. Start by taking your Lego blocks and arranging them in the design that you sketched. Be sure to pay attention to the orientation and size of the pieces, as this will affect how your finished creation looks. Once you have your creation built, you can start adding details such as windows, doors and other features.
Draw Your Lego Creation
Now that you have your Lego creation built, it’s time to start drawing it. Use the pencil and paper to draw the outlines of each piece. When you are done, use the markers to add color and shading to the pieces. Finally, use the reference material you gathered earlier to add any details that you missed. Once you are happy with your drawing, you can move on to the next step.
Enjoy Your Lego Drawing!
Once you have finished drawing your Lego creation, you can sit back and admire your work. If you are satisfied with the results, you may want to take a picture of your creation and share it with your friends and family. You can also frame it and hang it up for all to admire. No matter what you do with your Lego drawing, you can be proud of the work you put into it!
