Easy Beginner Hand Drawing
Drawing is both an art and a skill and it can be intimidating to learn. But with a few tips and tricks and some practice, anyone can begin to draw with ease. Whether you want to draw for fun, for a hobby, or for the purpose of creating an art piece, hand drawing is a great place to start.
The first step to drawing is to find a comfortable position. You should be seated or standing in an ergonomic position so that you can keep your hand and arm from cramping. You should also make sure that you have enough light so that you can see your paper and pencils easily. If you are drawing outdoors, find a place that is not too windy so that your paper does not blow away.
The next step is to choose the right materials. Pencils are the most common material used for hand drawing, but you can also use pens, markers, and even crayons. All of these materials can be used to create different textures and effects. When selecting a pencil, it is important to choose one that is comfortable to hold, has a good grip, and is easy to maneuver.
Choosing a Subject
Once you have the materials picked out, it is time to choose a subject for your drawing. You can draw anything from a simple still life to a portrait of a loved one. If you are just starting out, try to pick something simple that will help you practice the basics of drawing. When selecting a subject, consider its size, shape, colors, and textures.
When you are ready to begin, start by sketching out the basic shape and structure of the object. This will help you to get a feel for the object and how it will fit onto your paper. As you sketch, use light strokes and don’t be afraid to erase and start over. Once you have the basics down, you can start to add details such as shadows and highlights.
Adding Color
Once you have the drawing completed, you can add color. This can be done with paint, colored pencils, or markers. You can also use watercolors or acrylics to give your drawing a more vivid look. When adding color, make sure to mix your colors and use light layers for a more realistic effect. You can also use shading to give your drawing more depth.
As you practice hand drawing, you will find that you become more comfortable with your materials and techniques. As you gain more experience, you can start to experiment with different mediums, subjects, and techniques to create unique and interesting art pieces. With some time and practice, anyone can become a skilled hand drawer.
