How to Draw a Coyote: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Start With the Head

To draw a coyote, start by sketching the head. Draw an oval shape with a pointy muzzle. This will form the top of the head. Then, draw a curved line coming down from the muzzle to create the jawline. Finally, draw a curved line below the jawline to form the neck. Coyotes have large, pointed ears, so draw two triangular shapes on either side of the head. These will form the base of the ears.

Step 2: Draw the Eyes and the Nose
