How to Draw a Groundhog
Groundhogs are some of the cutest creatures in the rodent family. They make great pets, and they’re also quite fun to draw. Drawing a groundhog doesn’t have to be a difficult task. Here are some easy steps to follow to help you draw your own groundhog.
Step 1: Sketch the Head
The first step to drawing a groundhog is to sketch the head. Start by drawing a circle at the top of your paper. This will be the main part of the head. Next, draw two small circles at the base of the head to indicate the eyes. Next, draw two curved lines beneath the eyes to form the nose. Finally, draw two curved lines beneath the nose to form the mouth.
Step 2: Sketch the Ears
The next step is to sketch the ears. Start by drawing two circles at the sides of the head. Make sure they are slightly smaller than the main part of the head. Now, draw a curved line connecting the two circles. This line should be curved like a half-moon. Finally, draw two curved lines starting at the top of the circles. These lines should be curved inwards towards the main head.
Step 3: Sketch the Body
The third step is to sketch the body. Start by drawing a curved line beneath the head. This line should be slightly curved to indicate the back. Next, draw two small circles at the top of the line to indicate the shoulders. Finally, draw two curved lines extending from the shoulders to the bottom of the paper. These lines will form the arms and legs.
Step 4: Sketch the Tail
The fourth step is to sketch the tail. Start by drawing a small curved line at the back of the groundhog. This line should be slightly curved and should extend from the back down to the bottom of the paper. Finally, draw a few small curved lines along the length of the line to indicate the fur of the tail.
Step 5: Draw the Details
The fifth and final step is to draw the details. Start by drawing a few small curved lines across the face of the groundhog. These lines will help to indicate the fur of the head. Next, draw a few curved lines around the eyes, nose, and mouth to give the face some expression. Finally, draw a few curved lines along the arms, legs, and tail to indicate the fur.
Now you have successfully drawn a groundhog! You can add some color to your drawing to make it even more vibrant. With practice, you will be able to draw groundhogs and other animals even better. So grab your pencils and get started!
