How to Draw a Crane Bird Step by Step
Drawing a crane bird is a great way to practice your artistic skills. Whether you plan on using the drawing as a gift, a decoration, or just for fun, you can easily create a beautiful crane drawing with just a few simple steps. To get started, you will need a few supplies, including paper, pencils, erasers, and colored pencils or markers. Once you have gathered your supplies, you can get started learning how to draw a crane bird.
Step 1: Start with the Head
To begin, draw a medium oval shape for the head. You can make the oval as big or as small as you would like, keeping in mind that the size of the head will determine the size of the rest of the bird. Once you have the head shape drawn, add two half circles at the top for the eyes. Then, draw a curved line below the eyes for the beak.
Step 2: Draw the Body
Next, draw the body of the crane. Start by drawing two long, curved lines that start at the beak and come down to the bottom of the head. Then, draw two lines that extend off the sides of the head to form the neck. Finally, draw two more curved lines that connect the neck to the body. For the body, draw an oval with a point at the bottom.
Step 3: Add the Wings and Tail
To draw the wings of the crane, start by drawing two long curved lines that come from the body. Then, draw two U-shaped lines below the wings for the feathers. Finally, draw two lines for the tail feathers at the back of the body.
Step 4: Add the Legs and Feet
To finish the crane, draw two long lines coming from the bottom of the body. Then, draw two circles at the end of the lines for the feet. Finally, draw four lines coming from the feet to form the toes.
Coloring the Crane Bird
Now that you have finished drawing the crane, you can start coloring it. To begin, you can use a light yellow or orange color for the body of the crane. Then, use a darker yellow or orange to draw the beak and the feet. For the wings, you can use a dark gray or black color, and for the tail feathers you can use a light gray or brown color. Finally, use a white or light gray color for the eyes.
Tips for Drawing a Crane Bird
When drawing a crane bird, it’s important to keep in mind the proportions of the bird. The head should be slightly larger than the body, and the wings should be slightly longer than the body. Also, make sure to draw the wings and tail feathers at an angle to give the bird a realistic look. Finally, use a light touch when drawing the wings and feathers, as this will help make the drawing look more natural.
