Step 1: Getting Started

To start off, you will need to gather all of the necessary supplies. You will need a drawing paper, pencils, erasers, and some colored pencils (optional). The paper should be large enough for the gumball machine drawing that you plan to create. Once you have all of the materials that you need, you can begin the process of drawing a gumball machine.

Step 2: Sketching the Outline

The first step in drawing a gumball machine is to sketch the outline. Begin by drawing a circle for the main body of the machine. Then draw a slightly smaller circle inside of it. This will be used to draw the lid of the gumball machine. Next, draw two short rectangles at the bottom of the circle to create the legs of the machine. Finally, draw a small square at the top of the machine to serve as the coin slot.

Step 3: Adding Details

Now that you have created the outline of the gumball machine, it is time to add some details. Start by drawing a few lines inside the lid of the machine. These lines should be curved and will represent the spiral inside the machine. Then draw the knob at the top of the lid. This will be used to open and close the lid. You can also draw a few lines at the bottom of the machine to represent the feet of the machine.

Step 4: Coloring the Gumball Machine

Once you have finished the sketching process, it is time to add some color. You can use either colored pencils or crayons to color the gumball machine. Begin by coloring the body of the machine in a bright color such as red, yellow, or blue. Then color the lid, feet, and knob in a darker color such as black or brown. Finally, color the spiral inside the lid in a contrasting color.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

The final step in drawing a gumball machine is to add some finishing touches. You can start by adding some details such as coins and gumballs to the top of the machine. You can also draw some lines around the gumball machine to give it a more three-dimensional look. Finally, you can add some shading to the drawing to make it look more realistic.
