How to Draw a Picasso Face

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and graphic artist who is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He was a master of cubism and surrealism and is often referred to as the father of modern art. His artworks featured abstract shapes, vivid colors, and bold lines. His style has been imitated by many artists and continues to inspire new generations of artists. If you want to learn how to draw a Picasso face, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to create a Picasso-inspired portrait.

Step 1: Start with the Face Shape

The first step of drawing a Picasso-inspired face is to draw the basic face shape. This should be an oval shape with slightly curved sides. Make sure that the sides are not completely straight. Also, don’t forget to draw a few lines to give the face some texture. This will help your portrait look more like a Picasso painting.

Step 2: Add the Eyes and Nose

When you have the face shape drawn, you can start adding the eyes and nose. Picasso’s eyes were usually almond-shaped and slightly pointed at the top. The nose is usually quite small and does not have a defined shape. Feel free to experiment with different eye and nose shapes to create a unique portrait.

Step 3: Draw the Mouth

The mouth is another important feature of a Picasso portrait. For the lips, make sure to draw them slightly curved and exaggerated. The teeth should be small and unevenly spaced. You can also draw some lines between the teeth to give the mouth a bit more texture.

Step 4: Add Hair and Accessories

Once you have the face shape and features drawn, you can start adding the hair and accessories. Picasso usually drew his hair in a wild and unruly way. You can also add some glasses or a hat to your portrait for a unique touch.

Step 5: Add Color

The last step of drawing a Picasso-inspired portrait is to add some color. Picasso often used bright and vivid colors in his paintings. Choose some bright colors and use them to fill in your portrait. You can also experiment with different color combinations to create a unique look.
