How to Draw a Planet
Are you looking for a fun and easy activity to do with your kids? Drawing a planet can be a great way to have fun with your kids, teach them about the solar system, and get them interested in art. With a few basic supplies, you can have your kids drawing an earth, a planet, or any other celestial body of their choice in no time. Here are the steps to do so.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Before you start, gather the supplies you’ll need: paper, pencil, coloring supplies (markers, colored pencils, crayons, etc.), and a ruler. You can also use a compass if you want to draw a more precise circle. Other supplies you may want to have on hand include scrap paper, eraser, and a drawing board to keep your work neat.
Step 2: Draw the Basic Shapes
Start by drawing a large circle in the center of your paper. This will be the planet’s core. Next, draw smaller circles around the large one. These will be the planet’s rings. If you’d like, you can draw additional circles or shapes around the rings for added detail. Once your basic shapes are drawn, you can start adding the details.
Step 3: Add Details
Using a ruler, draw lines radiating out from the center of the planet, then draw smaller lines around the rings. This will give the planet a more realistic look. You can also draw clouds and mountains to make it look more realistic. Use your imagination and let your creativity take over.
Step 4: Add Color
Now that the drawing is complete, it’s time to add color. Use the coloring supplies of your choice to bring the planet to life. You can make it look like any planet you’d like, from Earth to Saturn and beyond. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even add stars and galaxies to your art.
Step 5: Show It Off
Once you have finished your planet, show it off to your friends and family. You can hang it up on your wall or display it in your room. You can even make a series of planets to create a unique and beautiful solar system. Have fun and be creative!
