Drawing Aladdin and Jasmine on a Magic Carpet
The magical lamp of Aladdin, a street rat from the Middle East, was the source of the Genie’s power. When Aladdin rubs the lamp, the Genie grants him three wishes. In Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, Aladdin, the princess Jasmine and the Genie travel on a magic carpet, which is a symbol of their journey of adventure and discovery. Drawing a picture of Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet is a great way to capture this magical moment in the movie.
Preparing to Draw
Before you begin, you will need some supplies. You will need paper, a pencil and eraser, colored pencils, and a ruler. You can also use drawing markers if you prefer. If you don’t have any of these supplies, you can find them at most art supply stores. You can also use a computer to draw if you prefer.
Next, you need to find a reference image. You can search online for a picture of Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet or you can use a still from the movie. Once you have a reference image, you can begin drawing.
Creating the Outline
Start by drawing a light outline of the characters and the carpet. Draw the shape of the carpet and the characters in the positions that you want them to be in. Don’t worry about getting the details right at this point. Just focus on getting the shapes and proportions correct. For example, if the carpet is curved, draw it in a curved shape.
Once you have the shapes and proportions correct, you can start adding details like clothing, facial features, and other accessories. Make sure that the characters look proportional to each other and to the carpet. You can also add some background elements like mountains, buildings, or clouds to make the drawing more interesting.
Adding Color
Once you have the outline of the characters and the carpet completed, you can start adding color. First, decide on the color scheme you want to use. You can stick with the traditional colors of the movie or you can create your own custom color scheme.
When you are ready to start coloring, use the colored pencils to fill in the outlines. Start with the lighter colors and work your way up to the darker ones. Use the eraser to correct any mistakes that you make.
You can also add some shadows and highlights to your drawing to make it look more realistic. For example, you can add shadows to the characters or the carpet to make them look more three-dimensional.
Once you are done coloring, your drawing of Aladdin and Jasmine on the magic carpet is complete! You can take a picture of it and share it with your friends or hang it up in your room.
