Steps to Draw Buddha Face

Learning how to draw a Buddha face is a wonderful way to explore Buddhism and its teachings. The Buddha is a symbol of peace and tranquility, and by creating your own representation of the Buddha, you can bring a sense of calm to your home. Drawing a Buddha face is a challenging task, and it requires patience and practice. However, with the right guidance and a few simple tips, you can learn how to draw a Buddha face with ease.

Step 1: Draw an Oval Shape

The first step to drawing a Buddha face is to draw an oval shape. This will become the head of the Buddha. When drawing the oval, make sure that it is slightly longer than a perfect circle. To create the oval, start at the top of the page and draw a curved line downwards towards the bottom of the page. Then draw a curved line back up towards the top of the page, completing the oval shape.

Step 2: Draw the Face

Once the oval shape is complete, it’s time to start drawing the face of the Buddha. Start by drawing the eyes, nose, and mouth. The eyes should be drawn close together, with the bridge of the nose between them. The nose should be thin and arched, while the mouth should be slightly curved and have a tranquil expression. After the eyes, nose, and mouth are in place, you can draw the ears and hair. The ears should be drawn on either side of the head and should be slightly curved. The hair should be drawn in a circular pattern, with the hairline slightly above the eyebrows.

Step 3: Add Details

Once the basic features of the face have been drawn, it’s time to add in some details. Start by adding in eyebrows that are curved upwards, and make sure that they are not too long. Then draw the forehead and the neck, and add in a few wrinkles around the eyes and mouth to give the face a more aged look. Once the wrinkles are in place, add in a few lines to create the facial hair and beard. Finally, draw in a few small circles to represent the beads of the necklace.

Step 4: Color the Face

When the details have been added to the face, it’s time to color it. Use a light shade of orange for the skin, and a darker shade for the facial features. For the hair, use a dark brown or black color. Once the colors are in place, use a white pen to draw in the eyes and the necklace beads. You can also use a gray pen to add in some shading and texture to the hair and beard.

Finishing Touches

Once you’re done coloring the face, it’s time to add the finishing touches. You can draw small details like lines around the eyes and mouth to give the face a bit more character. You can also use a fine-tipped brush to add in some highlights and shadows to the face. Finally, use a white pen to draw in the whites of the eyes. And you’re done! You can now proudly display your newly created Buddha face.
