How to Draw Mario and Sonic

Mario and Sonic are two of the most iconic video game characters of all time. They have been around for decades, and their games are still as popular as ever. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, learning how to draw Mario and Sonic can be a fun and rewarding experience. This tutorial will give you the basics of how to create your own version of Mario and Sonic!

Step 1: Outlining the Characters

To begin, start with the outline of each character. For Mario, draw a circle with two smaller circles inside for the eyes. Add two curves to the base of the circle for the mouth and a line extending from the top of the circle for the hat. For Sonic, draw a long oval shape for the body and two circles for the eyes and nose. Add two curved lines for the mouth and two curved lines for the ears.

Step 2: Drawing the Details

Once you have the basic outline of each character, it’s time to add the details. For Mario, add two curved lines for his eyebrows and a triangle for his mustache. Draw two rectangles for his arms and two circles for his hands. For Sonic, draw a curved line for his spines and two triangles for his feet. Add two ovals for his gloves and a curved line for his mouth.

Step 3: Coloring the Characters

Now you can start to color the characters. For Mario, use red for his shirt and blue for his overalls. Use yellow for his shoes and white for his hat. For Sonic, use blue for his body and red for his gloves. Use black for his eyes, mouth, and spines. You can also add some shading to give your drawings more depth.

Conclusion

Drawing Mario and Sonic is a great way to practice your art skills and have some fun. With a little practice, you can create your own unique versions of these classic characters. So grab your pencils, get creative, and have fun!
