How to Draw Pokemon Bulbasaur Step by Step
Drawing Pokemon characters is a great way to have fun and let your creativity shine. The most iconic and recognizable characters from the Pokemon world are the original 151. One of the most popular of these is Bulbasaur, the grass-type Pokemon. Although it may look complicated, drawing Bulbasaur is actually relatively easy. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get started!
Step 1: Draw an Oval
Start by drawing an oval shape with a pencil. This will be the basic shape of Bulbasaur’s head. Make sure the oval is round and even all the way around. This will be the frame that you will build the rest of the character around.
Step 2: Draw the Eyes
Next, draw two small ovals inside the head shape. Place them slightly above the center of the oval and make sure they are the same size. These are Bulbasaur’s eyes. Then, draw a small line between the eyes to create the nose. This will help you get an idea of the placement of the eyes.
Step 3: Draw the Mouth and Ears
Draw a curved line below the eyes to create the mouth. This line should follow the shape of the oval. Then, draw two small triangles on either side of the head for the ears. Make sure the triangles are pointing outwards and away from the head.
Step 4: Draw the Body and Legs
Draw two curved lines that start at the bottom of the head and end at the bottom of the paper. These will be the shape of Bulbasaur’s body. Then, draw four short lines that extend from the body. These will be the legs. Make sure the legs are all the same length and pointing downwards.
Step 5: Draw the Tail
Draw a curved line that starts at the back of the body and extends to the bottom of the page. This will be the shape of Bulbasaur’s tail. Make sure the line is smooth and curved. This will add detail to the character and make it look more realistic.
Step 6: Draw the Details
Draw a few small circles on either side of the head for the cheeks. Then, draw two small dots for the eyes and a small line for the mouth. Finally, draw a few curved lines on the body and tail to create the pattern that is distinctive to Bulbasaur. Make sure the lines are evenly spaced and the same size.
Step 7: Add Color
To finish off the drawing, add color to the character. Use green for the body and tail, yellow for the cheeks and a brown or black for the eyes, nose and mouth. You can also add some white to the eyes for a more realistic look. When you’re finished, you’ll have a cute, cartoon-style Bulbasaur that you can show off to your friends!
