Read on to learn how you can create a festive holiday drawing of everyone’s favorite beagle.
Gather Your Materials
Before you start your drawing, you need to gather all of the materials you will need. A basic drawing set is all you need to create your own Snoopy Christmas drawing. This set should include a variety of pencils and erasers, as well as a few different types of paper. Choose paper that is thick enough so that the pencil won’t tear through it, and make sure you have plenty of erasers on hand in case you make any mistakes. You may want to practice a few sketches on scrap paper before you start your final drawing.
Sketch Out the Basic Shape of Snoopy
Once you have all of your materials, you can start sketching. Begin by lightly sketching the basic shape of Snoopy. Create a large oval shape for the head and a smaller one for the body. Add a basic shape for the ears, nose, and eyes, and then draw two circles for the feet. If you need help, you can look at a simple image of Snoopy for reference. Once you have the basic shape drawn, you can start adding details.
Add Details to the Drawing
Next, you can start adding details to your drawing. To make Snoopy look more like the cartoon character, you can add the distinctive black patch over one eye and draw a large curved line for the back of the head. For the feet, draw a curved line for the toes and add a few small circles for the claws. Finally, draw a few curved lines for the collar and make sure to add the bell. To make Snoopy look more festive, you can also draw some holly leaves and berries around the collar.
Outline the Drawing
Once you are happy with your drawing, you can start outlining it. Start with the head and body and use a dark pencil or pen to draw a thick line around the outside of the shape. Then, do the same for the ears, nose, eyes, and feet. Finally, draw a thicker line around the collar for a more finished look. If you want to add more texture or depth to your drawing, you can also draw some fur lines around the head and body.
Color in the Drawing
To make your drawing really stand out, you can add some color. Start by coloring in the head and body with a medium shade of brown. Then, make the collar and bell red and the holly leaves and berries green. You can also add a white bandana to Snoopy’s head, and color the eyes and nose black. Once you are happy with the colors, you can finish the drawing by erasing any remaining pencil lines.
Finishing Touches
If you want to add a few special touches to your drawing, you can do that too. For example, you can draw a few snowflakes around Snoopy or use glitter glue to make the collar and bell sparkle. You can also draw some candy canes and presents around the drawing for a more festive look. Once you have added these special touches, your drawing of Snoopy Christmas style is complete!
