Drawing Superman Step by Step

The Man of Steel is one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, and he’s also one of the easiest to draw. Whether you’re a novice artist or a professional, you can learn how to draw Superman quickly and accurately with this step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Draw the Basic Outline

Start by drawing an oval for Superman’s head. This should be slightly flattened, as Superman’s head is longer than it is wide. Make sure to draw the oval larger than you think it should be, as Superman’s head is quite large. Next, draw two circles for his eyes and a curved line for his mouth.

Underneath the head, draw a long, curved line for Superman’s body. This should be slightly curved at the top and bottom to give it a more natural shape. Then, draw two straight lines extending from the body’s sides for his arms and two shorter lines extending from the bottom for his legs.

Step 2: Add Details

Now that the basic outline of Superman’s body is done, let’s add some details. Start by drawing a small triangle on the top of his head for his iconic hair curl. Then, draw two small ovals for his ears and add two curved lines for his eyebrows.

Next, draw a curved line between his eyes for his nose and a thin line for his mouth. Then, draw a curved line around his eyes for his mask and two small lines extending from the sides of his eyes for his pupils. Add a few curved lines to his face for his stubble and a few curved lines around his mouth for his beard.

Step 3: Complete the Drawing

Now it’s time to finish off the drawing. Start by drawing a large “S” shape on his chest for his iconic logo. Then, draw two curved lines at the end of each arm and two curved lines at the end of each leg for his gloves and boots.

Finally, add some texture to the drawing. Start by drawing some curved lines on his arms and legs for his muscles and a few curved lines on his face for his stubble and beard. You can also add some curved lines to his cape for texture.

Now you know how to draw Superman! With some practice, you’ll be able to draw him quickly and accurately.
