The Yorkshire Terrier is a popular breed of dog that is small in size but big on personality. Despite their small stature, these dogs have a big heart and make great companions. If you are looking for a friendly pet to bring into your home, then the Yorkshire Terrier may be the perfect fit. If you want to bring this pup into your life, you can even learn how to draw one yourself!
Step One: Gather Your Supplies
Before you can begin to draw your Yorkshire Terrier, you need to have the right supplies. You will need a few basic drawing materials, including a pencil, paper, eraser, and colored pencils or markers. If you do not have these supplies, you can find them at any local art store. Once you have your supplies, you are ready to begin drawing.
Step Two: Start with the Head
The first step in drawing your Yorkshire Terrier is to sketch out the head. Start by drawing a circle, and then draw two small triangles at the top of the circle for the ears. The ears should be slightly pointed at the top and rounded at the edges. Next, draw two small circles at the bottom of the circle for the eyes. Make sure to leave enough room to draw the muzzle and nose.
Next, draw a curved line in the middle of the circle for the muzzle. Then draw two small circles on the muzzle for the nostrils. Finally, draw a curved line at the bottom of the muzzle for the mouth.
Step Three: Add the Body and Legs
Now that you have the head drawn, you can start to draw the body and legs. Start by drawing a curved line beneath the head for the neck. Then draw a long oval shape beneath the neck for the body. Draw two circles at the bottom of the oval for the paws.
Next, draw four long curved lines extending from the body for the legs. Make sure to draw the lines in a slightly curved position to give the legs an anatomically correct look. Finally, draw a curved line at the top of the head for the tail.
Step Four: Fill in the Details
Now that you have the basic outline of your Yorkshire Terrier drawn, it is time to start adding the details. Start by adding details to the head, such as fur markings and facial features. You can also draw small circles around the eyes to give the face more dimension.
Next, add details to the body and legs. You can draw small circles along the legs to represent the toes, as well as short curved lines for fur markings. Also, draw small curved lines in the fur on the body to give the fur texture. Finally, draw small curved lines around the mouth to give it a more realistic look.
Step Five: Color the Drawing
The final step in drawing your Yorkshire Terrier is to color it. Start by coloring the eyes, nose, and mouth using dark colors. Then, color the fur using colors that are typical of this breed, such as brown and black. You can also use lighter colors to add highlights to the fur. Finally, color the background using colors that will compliment the colors of the dog.
Now that you have followed all of the steps, you should have a beautiful Yorkshire Terrier drawing! With a little bit of practice and patience, you will be able to draw this breed of dog with ease. So, grab your supplies and get started!
