How to Draw the Reverse Flash in Six Easy Steps

The Reverse Flash, also known by his real name of Eobard Thawne, is a powerful villain in the DC Comics universe. He is the archenemy of The Flash and has been a thorn in his side since the very beginning. His menacing yellow and red costume make him an intimidating character, and you can bring him to life in your own drawings.

Whether you are a beginner or an expert artist, it is surprisingly easy to draw the Reverse Flash. By following these six simple steps, you will be able to create a realistic rendering of this iconic villain in no time.

Step 1: Start with the Basic Outline

The first step to drawing the Reverse Flash is to sketch out his basic outline. Start with a circle shape for his head and then add two curved lines on either side for his arms. For his legs, draw two straight lines that curve out at the bottom to form a triangular shape. Finally, draw a curved line from the top of his head to the bottom of his legs to form his body.

Once you have the basic outline finished, add a few extra details to give your drawing more dimension and shape. For the arms, draw circles at the end of the curved lines to indicate the hands. For the legs, draw a few short lines at the bottom of the triangle to form his feet.

Step 2: Add the Costume Details

The Reverse Flash is known for his iconic yellow and red costume. To draw this, start with the yellow chest piece. Begin at the top of the body line and draw a curved line that dips down to the bottom of the head. Then create two rectangles on either side of the head and connect the bottom of them with a curved line that dips to the bottom of the body line.

Next, draw two curved lines on either side of the chest piece to form the sleeves. Finally, draw two curved lines at the bottom of the body line to form the boots. To finish off the costume, color the entire body and costume yellow and then add the red lightning bolt symbol on the chest.

Step 3: Add the Face Details

Once you have the costume finished, it is time to add the facial features. Start with the eyes. Draw two small circles in the center of the head and fill them in with black. Then add a curved line above them for the eyebrows, and draw two curved lines on either side of the head to form the ears.

Next, draw the nose and mouth. For the nose, draw two short lines in the center of the head. For the mouth, draw a curved line that starts at the bottom of the nose and dips down to the chin. Then draw two curved lines on either side of the mouth for the lips. Finally, draw a small circle in the center of the chin for the dimple.

Step 4: Finish the Drawing with the Hair

The Reverse Flash is known for his iconic hairstyle, which is a bit more complicated than it looks. Begin by drawing two curved lines that start at the top of the head and dip down to the sides. Then draw two curved lines that start at the top of the ears and dip down to the sides of the head.

Next, draw two curved lines that start at the center of the forehead and dip down to the sides of the head. Finally, draw two curved lines that start at the top of the forehead and dip down to the sides of the head. To finish the hairstyle, draw two small curved lines at the bottom of the forehead to form the bangs.

Step 5: Color in the Drawing

Now it is time to color in the drawing. Begin by coloring the body yellow and the costume red. Then color in the eyes, nose, and mouth with black. Finally, color the hair brown. Once you have finished coloring, go back and add any extra details to make the drawing more realistic.

Step 6: Finalize the Drawing

The last step to drawing the Reverse Flash is to add any finishing touches. You can add shadows to the drawing to give it more depth, or you can add highlights to make the costume and hair look more realistic. You can also add extra details to the costume or face to make the drawing more unique.

By following these six simple steps, you can easily draw the Reverse Flash. Whether you are a beginner or an expert artist, this villain will come to life on your paper in no time. So grab your pencils and get started!
