How to Draw Tinkerbell
Tinkerbell is a beloved character from Disney’s Peter Pan and a favorite amongst aspiring artists. She is a beautiful fairy with wings, a delicate face and a mischievous personality. Drawing Tinkerbell can be a great way for children to learn how to draw, or for adults to explore their inner artist. With a few simple steps, you can learn to draw your own version of Tinkerbell.
Step 1: Begin with the Face
Draw a large circle for the face. Tinkerbell has an oval-shaped face, so make sure the circle is a bit longer than it is wide. Next draw a line down the center of the circle for the nose and add two small circles for the eyes. Above the eyes, draw two curved lines for the eyebrows. To create the mouth, draw a small curved line at the bottom of the circle and two small lines on either side.
Step 2: Add the Details
Begin by sketching the ears. Draw two small circles near the top of the head. Then draw a curved line from each ear to the center of the face. For the hair, draw a few curved lines coming out of the top of the head. To add the bangs, draw a few horizontal lines in the center of the face. To finish the face, draw two small curved lines above the eyes for eyelashes and add two dots for the pupils.
Step 3: Draw the Torso
Draw a curved line coming out of the bottom of the face. This will be the neck. At the end of the neck, draw a large oval shape for the torso. Make sure the oval is slightly wider than the face. Then draw two small circles on either side of the torso for the arms. The arms should be slightly lower than the neck. Finally, draw two small ovals on the bottom of the torso for the legs.
Step 4: Add the Wings and Clothing
Draw a large curved line at the top of the head for the first wing. Then draw another curved line connecting the first wing to the other side of the head. At the end of each wing draw a few curved lines for the feathers. To draw the dress, begin with a curved line coming out of the torso. Then draw two curved lines coming out of the center of the torso and two curved lines coming out of the bottom. Draw a few curved lines around the dress to create the bottom of the skirt.
Step 5: Finalize the Drawing
To complete your drawing, erase any unnecessary lines and add some shading. Begin by shading the eyes, nose and mouth. Then shade the hair and dress. Finally, add some details to the wings like a few small dots or lines. You can also add some color to the drawing if you’d like.
Drawing Tinkerbell can be a fun and creative way to learn how to draw. With a few simple steps, you can create your own unique version of Tinkerbell. All you need is some paper and a pencil and you’re ready to start drawing. Who knows, you may even be able to draw her better than the original!
