How to Draw Mickey Mouse Face Step by Step
The iconic mouse that has become a beloved character for both children and adults alike is Mickey Mouse, created by Walt Disney in 1928. Drawing Mickey Mouse is easy, and it is a great way to get some practice with cartoon drawing. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, here is a step by step tutorial on how to draw a cute and recognizable cartoon version of Mickey Mouse.
Step 1: Draw a Circle
Start off your drawing by making a large circle. This will be Mickey’s head. Mickey’s head is bigger than the average person’s, so make sure you draw it a bit larger than you would with a regular character. This circle should be drawn with a light pencil. You will be able to erase it later if you need to.
Step 2: Draw the Face
Once you have drawn the circle for Mickey’s head, you can draw his face. Inside the circle, draw two small circles for his eyes. Then draw a curved line between the two eyes for his nose. Make sure you draw the nose slightly curved so that it is not perfectly straight. Then draw a line below the nose for his mouth. You can draw a smiley face or a frown for Mickey, depending on the look you want to give him.
Step 3: Draw the Ears
Now it’s time to draw Mickey’s ears. For each ear, draw two curved lines that come together at the top and bottom. Make sure the lines have a slight curve to them so they don’t look too straight. Then draw a curved line in the middle of each ear. This will give the ears more character and make them look more like Mickey’s.
Step 4: Draw the Hair
Mickey Mouse has a distinct hairstyle, so you will want to draw it correctly. To do this, draw a curved line over the top of the head. Make sure to make it slightly curved so it looks more like a wave than a straight line. Then draw two curved lines on either side of the head for Mickey’s sideburns.
Step 5: Draw the Body
Now it’s time to draw Mickey’s body. Start by drawing a vertical line from the bottom of the head to the bottom of the paper. This will be the center line of Mickey’s body. Then draw two curved lines on either side of the vertical line. These lines will form Mickey’s arms. Finally, draw two curved lines at the bottom of the page for his legs.
Step 6: Add Details
Now you can add the little details that will make Mickey look more realistic. Draw circles for his hands and feet, and draw a curved line at the bottom of the feet for his toes. You can also add a few lines to the arms and legs to make them look more realistic. Finally, you can draw a few circles for his buttons.
Step 7: Color!
The last step is to color in your drawing. You can use whatever colors you want, but Mickey is usually drawn with black, white, and red. Make sure to color in the eyes, nose, and mouth to make the character look more alive. Then you can add the finishing touches, such as a background or some small details.
Now you know how to draw a cute cartoon version of Mickey Mouse. With a bit of practice and perseverance, you will be able to create your own version of the beloved Disney character. Once you have done that, you can start drawing other Disney characters or make up your own cartoon characters!
